The great wall of china is unlike many other, pretty average walls in china. It is a set of historical fortifications across the old northern borders of Ancient Chinese states and Imperial China as protection against various people.
The wall was originally built (some parts) of 7th Century BC. The most frequently visited sections of the wall were built by the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
